Menns, Mitch

Status: Undergraduate Student

Mitch Menns has been working with the lab since he transferred to UNR in February of 2019. He is a 21 year old Junior from Redding, CA. Mitch is majoring in Geophysics and plans on continuing to work for the Seismic lab and working on a masters in Geophysics. He has a certification for tower climbing to help techs with tower work, and helps with everyday procedures around the lab.



Before transferring to UNR, Mitch played baseball and attended William Jessup University (2017), and Lassen College (2018). After playing baseball in college for two years, he had shoulder surgery and transferred to UNR to focus on Geophysics. When he isnít busy with work and school, Mitch enjoys being involved with his fraternity, Pi Kappa Phi. He also enjoys almost everything outdoors, from skiing around Tahoe in the winter, to hiking, biking, cliff jumping, and camping. Mitch achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in 2016 after being an active member of Boy Scouts throughout high school. He also attended California Boys State in 2015.
